                     Tracking

Tracking (Trailing) will be taught during this program. This can be used to train a dog for tracking for Police K9 and Search & Rescue.  You will learn how to lay a track, how to start teaching a dog to track, how to keep your dog on track, and how use tracking in urban versus rural areas.

Students must successfully complete a half-mile track. The skills learned in this course will allow you to teach tracking to others.  For this program, students must select and bring a dog for the purpose of tracking.  The dog being brought for scent detection will also be used for tracking.
